UNLV Take back the tap

BE PART OF THE CHANGE!

Our Work So Far

With our collaboration with Tara Pike, UNLV's Sustainability Coordinator, we have been able to assist her in the movement she started to install hydration stations throughout the UNLV Campus. With UNLV’s commitment to solve this issue, TBTT ( Take Back The Tap) has been able to assist phenomenally in the efforts. Throughout these past years, UNLV has installed multiple hydration stations throughout the campus and funded portable hydration stations for events. These efforts significantly decrease the consumption of plastic water bottles and coincide with TBTT’s mission.

We have received immense positive response from the President of UNLV regarding this issue in all our meetings. As more hydration filtration systems appear on campus it helps in cultivating a healthy drinking culture.  More importantly, due to various collaborations the university community is beginning to see this issue with more importance and the willingness to know about the ill effects of plastic bottle usage. We have collected more than 7,000 signatures from the university community in support of our petition. Our petition urges on reducing the use of plastic and embracing  sustainable alternatives.
